Pineapples contain bromelain, an enzyme which helps break down protein - so it is known as a digestive enzyme as it helps us break down foods. Great for people who tend to get indigestion after meals as it lifts the digestive enzymes in our gut needed to break down foods. Curcumin is the active ingredient in Turmeric, which is know n to reduce inflammation. These days, pretty much everyone has some kind of inflammation - be that aches and pains, too much sugar or meat, rashes, allergies etc -so we could all do with the anti-inflammatory benefits. If you need another reason, this is delicious too - Think pine-lime splice! To Make:

This is one of the healthiest smoothies I’ve ever known so far. My mother is strict when it comes to our diet because she believes that in order to enjoy life, we need to be healthy. I agree with her because we need a healthy and fit body to be able to do the things that we love doing such as outdoor sports or just hanging out with friends. That is why I’m fond of surfing the internet to look for healthy food recipes. Now I have this smoothie added to my weekly list of healthy drinks!
